May 7th Daily Blogger

As I rush into the school, hair crazy, bags falling off and a big bag of pom-poms because tonight are the tryouts for drill team. When I got to my first period class and got settled I realized we didn’t have most of 1st period because the student council canidates were going to give their speeches to try to win our votes over. They bribed some kids into to voting for them by handing out candy and cookies! They sure were good.
When I got to English I had to hand out candy to the students to try to win their vote for me in student council. We started class out with students voted for who they wanted to represent our class in student council for next year and the teacher of the year this year. Then handed in our DGP papers that we’ve been working on for the past week just like we do every week. On Friday we had to diagram the sentence. We had to then compact and out the finishing touch on our ibook. After we finished out ibook we turned it into a zip file so we could hang it in on blackboard.
This is Garrett showing his support for me.

Monday May 12

It looks like I have a severe case of Monday fever, not exactly but pretty close. Getting sick at the end of the year seems like just an excuse to getting of school. Luckily, for me the Ainsworth track meet was postponed. As for school all I know that in reading we have a substitute and are watching the video of our biography. As for English I have no clue about what we did.
So instead of telling you about school I will tell you about what I did over the weekend. On Saturday, my family and I went to the outdoor exposition at fort Kearny. We had fun fishing, shooting, and cooking. After that, we drove into Kearney and went to Cabala's and then to the mall. At the mall we went to Hobby Town USA, which is my brother's favorite place to shop. I found a small quad-copter and I decided to buy it. I thought it was the best thing to train me how to fly the larger one that me and brother plan to make from scratch.
On Mother's day we celebrated up at our grandmother's house. Unfortunately I did not get my mom anything which, I guess, shows what kind of son I am. My brothers only thoughts were getting to fly my  quad-copter. Annoyed with the constant buzz, I went bed and woke up with a pounding headache and I could hardly stand on my own two feet. I hope that I don't miss too much missing school.

Walking through the doors of the school I know as OHS.Today is  Monday and so a lot of people don’t want to come to school today but we all came today and this is what we did. And this is how it went. Today in English we looked at some books and than we had to make are own. First we got with partners and you had to got some ideas so we could start working on it. And in Science we had to do are weather forecasts with are partners so we worked on that the whole time. And some people even got to start recording. And this is what we did today so no homework for today. So we can all have a good day and we can just go home and relax. And think about that school is almost over. And keep going because the school year is not done yet. And all this year I think that I liked doing daily blogger. And it was fun.But I am happy that it is almost summer.

Daily Blogger Jared H. April 29th

Great I get to be daily blogger. This is my last time for the year! I guess those of you who are reading this have already heard kids complaining about being the daily blogger so I’ll just get into what went on in class.
Today in class we just learned how to put widgets into our Ibooks and how to create our glossary. For the rest of the day and week we will be working on our Ibooks as much as possible to try and finish them. Don’t forget to have an adult sign your yellow sheet saying they proofread it. Also have 2 student proofread and sign. That about wraps up the day and week

Daily Blogger Nikki Gotschall

“I dreaded getting out of bed this morning because I knew today I was the Daily Blogger.” This is how my usual Daily Blogger lead would look like. This time however, I am excited. This is the last time I will ever be Daily Blogger! I’m going to make it a good one.
Today in English class, we sat down and got to work. First we did our DGP, but today we did it differently than usual. Once we filled out our DGP we compared with our table and helped each other. Then we went around by table and someone would say one of the corrections. After DGP, we started talking about our next section in English, News. We talked about what news is and what makes a story news worthy. We watched a video and answered the questions on a worksheet we got from blackboard. We learned about the nine different types of news and examples of each type. When we were done with our discussion, Mrs. Morrow started talking about another link we would go to. Shayne had to protest and say that there simply wasn’t enough time to do anymore work. Mrs. Morrow quickly went over what we were going to start tomorrow, and then the bell rang.
Well, this is my daily blogger post! I hope you enjoyed it and I hope this will help those of you who weren’t at class today. Don’t forget our assignments and for all of the students at O’Neill High, you stay classy! ;)

5-2-14 Daily Blog Post

Coming to school without getting enough sleep is possibly one of the worst things that happens to me. Well at least it's Friday, and we only have fifteen more days of school left. I strode into science class, and fell onto my seat. Opening up my computer, the scary red alarm clock comes into my view. Daily blog alert!

Today in English, we diagrammed our sentence today and handed our DGP (Daily Grammar Practice) in. Mrs. Morrow gave the class a purple sheet, which had a checklist on it for our iBook. The checklist lists all of the things that should probably be on your book. The rest of class we worked on our books. Remember to get three people to proofread your book!

After lunch, I marched to civics. Right when I rounded the corner, Mr. Hostert asked me if I was studying hard. I muttered a sure to him and walked into class. Mr. Hostert started off with taking attendance, and asking the daily geography questions. We learned about the executive branch today, and we learned more about the election of 1824.

Overall, today was an average school day for me. I'm just glad the number of school days is decreasing. Have a good weekend and don't forget to work on your iBook project!
