October 7th Blog by Gabbie Scott

Today in English class, we were supposed to come up with three different ways to say "This essay is going to be about pets" in our journals. Then, we were handed a worksheet to complete with a list of sentences. We were supposed to write a new sentence if the sentence on the worksheet wasn't exciting. Mrs. Troester and Mrs. Morrow gave us this exercise to make some of our sentences in our problem-solution essay better and not be so boring. We then got on canvas and did some of our feedback to the people in our groups. Some people's group leaders have given the group members extra homework. My group leader assigned us a narrative to write, but I don't think we have to. Our assignments for the week are final draft of our problem-solution essay due Friday and people who haven't gotten their daily blogs on the class blog need to finish that by Friday. In reading class today, we got our new book Inkheart and Mrs. Troester read a few pages to get us started. Instead of having bookmarks, we are going to have quizzes on the book every Monday. This is what happened during the school day of October 7th.  -Gabbie Scott
