Boredom fills the room as I walk in
the room to our science class drowsy as ever. Everyone dreads Mondays, or at
least everyone I know. Even some of the teachers are lethargic from the two-day
break. But today I’m actually kind of excited for school because the JH girls
have a big basket ball game tonight. The only bad thing about it is that we
have to take a long two-hour journey to Valentine, or as Mr. Hostert calls it,
the home of the badgers.
After the dreaded first period on
this Monday morning we went to a little less dreaded second period class, which
is English. Well to start off the day in English we write a brand new poem, a
first and last lines poem. In this poem we take the first line of a book or
piece of writing, and the last line of another. The best part about this poem
is that we get to make up a whole new story in between the two mismatched
lines. For the second part of English we listened to some more of the book
we’re reading, Bronx Masquerade. Being
honest this is the part I look forward to the most during English because I
like to hear the different voices and the different point of views and the
stories each individual person tells. Whilst listening to the book the bell
rang, so I guess that’s all we did in English today.
Have Fun with your winter break! And as Mr.Hostert would say, “Good Luck
and Go Eagles!”
