Yet again, English today proved to be an exciting part of
the day. We continued our
preparations for the state writing exam later this month and conversed over the
concept of theme. In short, the difference between topic and theme is that
topic is the thing that the story revolves around, while the theme is the
message that can be gleaned from the story.
In preparation for our writing exam, we started working on
the pre-write stage of the first of two descriptive essays, which by the way,
the pre-write is due tomorrow. Also, all reworks are due today at noon, which
means I’d better hurry up with this. Homework due tomorrow includes two teen-bizs
and the pre-write section of our writing packets. Just for the record, I take
no responsibility for late assignments due to this recap.
Also, we hope to see you at the geography bee today at
1:30pm. Thank you for reading and lets hope tomorrow is as exciting as today
was.
